Queen Jennifer Lopez blessed us all last night when she performed a medley of her greatest hits for the 2018 VMAs! The singer was being celebrated for her contribution to music and was awarded the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
JLO treated the crowd to amazing dance breakdowns, outfit changes and a collection of her greatest hits. She performed; On The Floor, Love Don't Cost A Thing, Waiting For Tonight and many more in her incredible 10 minute performance.
Upon receiving her award Lopez reflected on how she never understood why you could only go down one path and that she paved her own road to success.
“I grew up on MTV and this is really, like, a tremendous honor for me. It has been an incredible journey of dreaming my wildest dreams and then kinda watching them come true. Music, acting, performing – this career has always been kind of an obsession for me. When people have said, ‘You’re doing too much – you can only do one thing’ … I always had it in my mind. I was always a person who was like, ‘Why not?’ I kinda had to forge my own path and make my own rules. I was obsessed like that.”
