The reigning Drag Race Superstar Aquaria is not happy about the Astroworld album cover, and she's letting Twitter know about it!
Earlier today we reported that Travis Scott had removed transgender icon Amanda Lepore from the final edit of his album cover. This caused a severe backlash forcing him to issue a statement on Twitter which didn't really explain the reasoning behind Lepore's removal. Read that story here!
The reality star wasn't having any of it and took to Twitter throw some major shade at Scott's response!
“🤪✌🏻 lol I’m an artist! I rly respect the LGBFAGT community! 🤪 David is cool! I’d never put that ****** on the cover but glad we included her in the booklet that no 1 will read that we had to reprint due to this unexpected controversy 🤪 thx 4 understanding queers! 🏳️🌈” pic.twitter.com/svXTBau92Y— Aquaria (@aquariaofficial) August 4, 2018
Aquaria continued to defend her statement explaining that the removal of Lepore sends out a bad message and that she wasn't happy with his 'apology'.
Aquaria then proceeded to tweet a further 14 times where she continued to stand by her statement and question Scott's actions.
To be honest, we're team Aquaria. She's standing up for the LGBT community and like we said in our previous post, Travis never really explains why he removed Lepore from the cover.
What are your thoughts on the situation? Let us know below!
