Youtuber Tana Mongeau is finally speaking out after the disastrous event Tanacon! We found out some details about what really happened from Shane Dawson's 3 part youtube series, but fans still had questions and hoped to get the answers they needed in Tana's recent upload.
Tanacon was born from the youtuber's drama with popular social media convention Vidcon. Tana explained to fans that she would not be attending the event this year due to Vidcon refusing to make her a featured creator. Fast forward a couple of weeks later, and the social media star announced that she would be holding her own convention for her fans named Tanacon.
Unfortunately, the event did not go as planned. The convention was quickly shut down due to overcapacity with some fans getting sunburn from hours stood outside waiting to get into the event.
In the hour long video, Tana firstly apologised to all of her fans and explained that this video would be her side of the story. She continued to say that Tanacon was created out of spite and that she would do things very differently given a second chance.
Tana confirmed that almost all refunds have been issued and that her team are working on reimbursing fans who travelled to the event. She explained that she would be unable to reimburse everyone but hoped to get free merchandise to disappointed fans who came to the event.
The rest of the video centres around the relationship between Tana and Good Times CEO Michael Weist who was responsible for organising the event.
